Durham, NH 03824 Marriage and Family Therapy Center provides assistance to individuals, couples and families who are experiencing a wide range of personal or relationship problems. The HUB - Family Resource Center 23 Atkinson St. Provides families with educational programs and support services, which helps enhance their ability to raise healthy children in caring homes. They use programs such as workshops and classes, support groups, play groups, one on one support, and a library. All of these programs are free.
Family Centered Early Supports & Services Family Centered Early Supports & Services provides support and connections for parents of children with developmental disabilities and special or chronic health needs.
Family Support and Resource Center The Family support and resource center provides resources to families of children with continuing developmental and health care needs. They assist families with special medical services, and have parent consultants available to help.

NH Family Voices
NH Family Voices is a family-to-family health information and resource project. Parents of children with special health, developmental, mental health and educational needs staff it, and these parents have years of experience accessing and receiving services as well as helping others to do the same. A variety of books, videos, and audiotapes are available to parents regarding a variety of disabilities, chronic illnesses, parenting and educational subjects.

The Parent Information Center is a wonderful resource for information. Some of their services include resource materials/library, topical workshops, and training programs.
Parent to Parent of New Hampshire
Parent-to-Parent is a statewide network of families willing to share experiences. If you are a parent of a child with temporary or long-term special challenges, you may want to speak to a parent whose child has similar needs, someone who will understand.

New Hampshire Healthy Kids
"Quality health and dental coverage for your child....and peace of mind for you." New Hampshire Healthy Kids' goal is to provide families with affordable insurance for their children. Children up to the age of 19 can be insured through Healthy Kids. Cost of the insurance is based on family size and income. There is no cost for the Healthy Kids Gold program. Premiums for children enrolled in Healthy Kids Silver vary based on income. You may apply in person or by mail. Please call the above number with questions. Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) TANF provides financial assistance through the Family Assistance Program (FAP), and financial assistance and employment and training services through the New Hampshire Employment Program (NHEP), to families with dependent children to help them become self-supporting. The Food Stamp Program provides assistance to eligible families to purchase food items essential for good health. Eligibility depends on income, resources, and expenses. E-mail the address any questions regarding the Food Stamp Program.

This is a community-based program, designed to address the needs of families with children who have chronic health conditions in NH. It utilizes a family-centered approach by identifying needs and works within the community to find resources and information. DSSC provides supports and services to people with developmental disabilities near the NH/VT border. Services are individualized whenever possible according to each person's needs and wishes. P. O. Box 509 LRCSC is a community based private non-profit corporation located in Laconia, New Hampshire serves individuals with developmental disabilities. The area in which LRCSC serves includes all of Belknap County and southern Grafton County in central New Hampshire. LRCSC is a growing human service organization that provides comprehensive, family centered supports and services to individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and other disabling conditions.
Region 5 Monadnock Developmental Services, Inc. MDS is the designated Area Agency providing supports and services to people with developmental disabilities in the southwestern corner of New Hampshire. For over twenty years, MDS has specialized in providing individuals and their families the means to live as independently as possible in their own community.
Region 6 Area Agency for Developmental Services of Greater Nashua, Inc. The area agency for Developmental Services of Greater Nashua Inc. serves individuals with disabilities, children at risk under age three, and their families. They strive to provide the best quality services and support needed for these individuals in order to lead valued lives in their communities.
Region 8 Community Developmental Services Agency, Inc. CDSA provides supports and services to people with developmental disabilities in the Seacoast region.
Region 9 Developmental Services of Strafford County, Inc. DSSC provides community based services to residents of Strafford County with developmental disabilities. They are dedicated to the empowerment and support of individuals with developmental disabilities, chronic heart needs, brain disorders, and their families.
Region 10 Community Support Services Region 10 Community Support Services is a wonderful resource for information. Some of their services include resource library, community links, parent to parent network, newsletters, recreational resources, and information about the family support council.
Region 12 United Developmental Services The council is an advisory group, which helps to identify and prioritize family support needs in the region 12 area. They provide direct support and services to families. |
